We are pleased to announce the VEBA Employer Handbook for community and technical colleges is now available online. The online VEBA Employer Handbook is designed to provide assistance through all phases of plan adoption, implementation, and ongoing administration. The new electronic format provides employee benefits personnel instant access to up-to-the-minute VEBA Plan information.
The VEBA Employer Handbook is organized into logical sections that discuss various topics ranging from formal plan adoption and employee group structure to membership enrollment and employer contributions. It also contains turn-key sample documents, employer and participant forms, legal background information, applicable IRS rules and state law, a press release history file and service provider contact information to help facilitate smooth plan operation throughout the year.
Primary employer contacts are notified when material updates occur. It is recommended that employee benefits personnel responsible for administering the VEBA Plan become familiar with the handbook content and give careful attention to periodic press releases that communicate plan changes, new funding sources, updates to sample documents and forms, etc.
If you have any questions regarding employer contributions, employer reports or claims processing, please contact the third-party administrator, REHN & ASSOCIATES, at 1-800-VEBA101 (832-2101). For questions regarding the content of the handbook, plan adoption, group enrollment or to schedule an informational group meeting, please contact your local VEBA Service Group, LLC representative.
